Neyriz Ghadir Steel Company was established in 2007 as one of eight strategic government projects for the decentralized development of Iran’s steel industry. The company was founded with a focus on localizing technology and strengthening production capacity. With a 65% stake held by Ghadir Industries and Mining Holding and a 35% stake held by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the company operates in Neyriz County, Fars Province, with the goal of completing the steel value chain from mining to billet production.
Production Capabilities and Technical Expertise
NGHSCO focuses on improving quality and meeting the strategic requirements of downstream industries, making it one of the major steel producers in the region.
Steelmaking Plant: The plant has an annual production capacity of one million tons of steel billets. Using modern technologies, it produces 3SP, 4SP and 5SP grades in line with international standards. The plant’s main objectives are to meet domestic demand and strengthen the company’s presence in target markets.
Direct Reduction Plant: The plant produces 800,000 tons of high-quality sponge iron each year, with a metallization degree (MD) of 93.2%. In addition to supplying the market, the sponge iron is used as the main strategic feedstock for the company’s steelmaking plant.
Oxygen Plant: With a capacity of 7,500 Nm³/h, the plant supplies the industrial gases needed for the production lines.

Pelletizing Plant: With an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons, the plant is being developed to increase self-sufficiency across the steel production chain.
Environmental Sustainability and Energy Infrastructure
We believe that industrial development should go hand in hand with protecting the environment and natural resources. The company’s infrastructure projects have therefore been developed with a focus on safeguarding the country’s resources:
Persian Gulf Water Transmission Project: A 110-kilometer pipeline designed to provide a reliable supply of industrial water, with an annual transmission capacity of 6 million cubic meters, while helping to protect the region’s groundwater resources.
Industrial Water Recycling Treatment Plant: With a treatment capacity of 1,814 cubic meters per day, the facility recycles 93% of process water back into operations, helping to optimize water consumption.
Social Responsibility: Connecting Industry with the Community
NGHSCO is proud to contribute to the development of the region by providing employment for more than 1,200 people, 86% of whom are local residents:
Culture and Sport: Construction of the Martyr Qassem Soleimani Cultural and Sports Complex, including a multipurpose hall, amphitheater, artificial lake and surrounding parkland, to promote social well-being.
Healthcare: Equipping Shohada-ye Salamat Hospital with an MRI system and upgrading the Qatruyeh District Clinic to provide 24-hour services.
Livelihood Support: Supporting students in underprivileged areas and distributing food and essential supplies packages among low-income families.
Environmental Protection: Protecting the ecosystems and rare species of the Bahram-e-Goor region and Qatruyeh National Park.
